“Boomerang”, the sexed-up track from Jay Rock’s Follow Me Home, has finally received a video treatment. Black Hippy’s star continues to rise with every Top Dawg Entertainment release, and Follow Me Home is no different. The video’s care free attitude and disregard for gangsta stereotypes have quickly made it a favorite among online hip hop sites. Fader.com recently featured the music video along with a brief write up. Noting the group’s classic vibe, the feature says:
“This is exactly what West Coast Underground Rap was like in the ’90s. Black Hippy doesn’t echo just the sound, but the vibe and intention as well (and the fisheye lenses). “
